Right at Home is an international leader in the home care industry. We support people living with complex and post-operative care needs, dementia and cognitive decline, older adults, and adults living with a disability including NDIS participants. Our Beginnings
Allen Hager founded Right at Home in 1995 in Omaha, Nebraska, after spending nearly a decade in hospital administration. While in the hospital environment, he watched many patients – especially older adults – leave facilities and return home, but not necessarily to health. Once home, many of his former patients were unable to care for themselves. Allen knew that with a little help most of these people could lead healthy, happy lives in the comfort of their own homes.
Daryl and Karen Sahli were granted the Master Franchise rights and founded Right at Home Australia in 2014. Daryl and Karen have ageing parents of their own and understand the challenges families face juggling parents, children, and careers. They opened their first office in Brisbane, Queensland and started franchising in 2016. Today, Right at Home Australia has more than 50 offices country-wide and counting.
The demand for in-home care services has never been greater. An ageing population, shorter hospital stays, the need for disability care, and government budget pressure, are fuelling demand for care services that help preserve independence and wellbeing. Daryl and Karen are determined to provide quality support services so clients may remain in their own homes with little compromise to their lifestyle and daily routines.
