Knee Pain
Signs of Knee Pain & Treatments
Knee pain can affect all ages from children to older adults. Knee pain can be caused by injuries such as meniscus or ligament tears or may be more of a functional nature such as patella-femoral syndrome or poor patella tracking. Common presentations of knee pain may be:
-
Swelling and stiffness in the knee joint
-
Pain following injury such as during sport or a car accident
-
Popping or crunching within the knee
-
Weakness or instability
-
Unable to fully bend or straighten the knee
At Right at Home Allied Health, our Physiotherapists and Chiropractors are trained in the orthopaedic assessment of the knee. They will assess your range of motion along with orthopaedic testing to work out a diagnosis. Sometimes you may also be referred for further imaging of your shoulder by our allied health team, such as an MRI or Xray to rule out any underlying pathology or injury. If you would like to discuss your knee complaint but not sure who to book in with, why not book our complimentary Discovery Session with one of our allied health practitioners.
