Signs of Knee Pain & Treatments
Knee pain is common and affects people of all ages. Knee pain can be caused by injuries such as meniscus or ligament tears. It can also be caused by Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) or poor patellar tracking, which are disorders that lead to anterior knee pain caused by the kneecap (patella) shifting our of place as the leg bends or straightens. Common presentations of knee pain include:

Swelling and stiffness in the knee joint

Pain following injury from a sports game or car accident

Popping or crunching within the knee

Weakness or instability

Unable to fully bend or straighten the knee
At Right at Home Allied Health, our Physiotherapists and Chiropractors are trained in the orthopaedic assessment of the knee. We assess your range of motion along with orthopaedic testing to determine a diagnosis. Sometimes you may also be referred for further imaging of your shoulder by our allied health team, such as an MRI or X-ray to rule out any underlying pathology or injury.
