Shoulder Pain
Causes of Shoulder Pain
Shoulder pain is often a very complex complaint and requires proper assessment from a trained health professional. There are several causes for shoulder pain, which can range from:
-
Rotator cuff tendinopathy or tear
-
Sub acromial bursitis
-
Impingement syndrome
-
Bicipital tendonitis
-
Capsular problems such as frozen shoulder
Our Physiotherapists and Chiropractors are trained in the orthopaedic assessment of the shoulder joint and rib cage. They will assess your range of motion but also test the rotator cuff muscles and use orthopaedic testing to work out a diagnosis for your shoulder pain. Sometimes you may also be referred for further imaging of your shoulder by our allied health team, such as an MRI or Xray to rule out any underlying pathology or injury.
