Clinical Pilates, the Right at Home Allied Health Difference

Right at Home Allied Health clinical Pilates differs from traditional Pilates because we take the extra step. Our private and group classes are highly specialised, physiotherapy-led programs.
Prescribed clinical Pilates is supervised by an allied health professional, often a physiotherapist, who assesses individual needs and tailors exercises for rehabilitation or injury prevention.
Traditional Pilates classes, while also focusing on core strength and movement, are typically taught in a general group setting.
Clinical Pilates
Individualised – Tailored to specific injuries, conditions, and goals
Prescribed by a healthcare professional – A physiotherapist or other qualified professional assesses your needs and designs a program
Focus on rehabilitation and injury prevention – Helps with recovery, pain management, and improving movement patterns
May involve equipment – Spring-loaded equipment like the reformer, trapeze table, and chair can be used
Smaller class sizes – Allows for more individualised attention and feedback
Traditional Pilates
General fitness – Designed to improve core strength, flexibility, and overall fitness
Group setting – Classes are typically larger, with a focus on general exercises
May be taught by Pilates instructors – Not necessarily requiring a healthcare professional's supervision
Can be done on a mat or using equipment – Variety of options for practice
Less focus on specific injuries – While beneficial for overall fitness, not as tailored for rehabilitation
